HEY THERE
Welcome, I am Jenell (she/her). I am passionate about empowering families or individuals with the knowledge to navigate their pregnancy, labor and the postpartum period with confidence. I am here to hold space for you and support you through this momentous time. My goal is for you to have a positive experience no matter how your journey unfolds.
Jenell Fransen, CD(CAB)
I am the wife of the most caring person I know, and we have two children together named Ian and Nora. We are quite the animal lovers, so we have a zoo at our house which includes fish, two dogs, a cat and a tortoise. My favorite thing to do is just be outside, taking in the sights and sounds of nature! I thoroughly enjoy gardening, camping, hiking, and kayaking. I am also an avid, life-long learner and find continuing my education to be a hobby of mine.
I was called to this work through my own experience of the birth of the of my children. I didn’t have a doula for my first birth, but I had one for my second and I cannot say enough about that experience. It was so incredibly helpful to have someone who could assure, validate, and comfort me through the end of my pregnancy and labor. I believe that every birthing person deserves the kind of nurture and support that I received from my doula. That is why I decided to become one!
I have been helping families navigate through their journey into parenthood since 2015. I will have to say that each birthing experience I have had been involved with is different because each birth is uniquely different. I want YOUR experience to be YOURS! My job, as a birth doula, is to inform you with evidence, empower you to make your own health care decisions with confidence and hold space for you to have a positive experience. I also really like helping my clients to tune into their mind-body connection so they can tap into their intuition to guide them through their pregnancy, labor and beyond.
I work with families from all walks of life and my goal is to meet you where you’re at in your journey! I look forward to meeting with you to see if I would be a good addition to your care team.
